From Jul. 26 to 27, the 9th forum on application of power distribution technologies was held in Xiamen of Fujian, which was attended by nearly 1,000 people from State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, China Electric Power Research Institute, State Grid Electric Power Research Institute, and electric power companies, scientific research institutes, design institutes and equipment manufacturers of all provinces.

With "applying new power distribution technologies and cultivating intelligent power distribution grid" as its theme, "looking forward, responsibility and win-win" as its target and "attaching equal importance to both practices and theories, and integrating technologies with applications" as its concept, this conference expands its coverage from automatic power distribution field to the entire power distribution sector, turning itself to a more comprehensive technical exchange platform. Under the organization of the conference hosting party, 58 reports were made, which covered the theme forum and its three major branch forums (operation control, key power distribution technologies, quick troubleshooting and specialized operation and maintenance practices).

Mr. Miao Xin, chief director of intelligent power distribution equipment production line planning, made a keynote speech named Key Technology for New-Generation Power Distribution Automation and Its Application & Practices at the conference on behalf of Dongfang Electronics. Based on the company's overall strategic development orientations and integrated solutions for power distribution automation sector, he made introductions to  its critical work items and emphasized targets in the power distribution field from the three aspects of main power distribution stations, optimization and coordination of distributed energy and intellectualization of primary and secondary equipment units, which attracted great attention from the experts and technical personnel present at the forum. Participants of the forum included Mr. Chen Yong, vice GM of Dongfang Electronics, Mr. Chen Jusheng, chairman of board of supervisors and Market Department chief of Dongfang Electronics, and other 22 people from Dongfang Electronics' system department, intelligent power distribution equipment production lines, primary and secondary fusion office, primary equipment business department, R&D department, Wisdom and Sunrise.
